3D Printing Shenanigans
This is a dynamic list of any blog posts and resources that I’ve done related to 3D printing, particular as it applies to the arcade and pinball hobby.
Limitations, Scope & Legal Terms
Models and 3D designs featured on this page are done so expressly for hobbyist purposes. Those models & creations that are listed here but attributed to others’ should be handled with respect to the creator’s end-use-license. Any models or 3D designs featured here that have been created by me are done so for hobbyist experimentation or to fill the need of hard-to-find components to keep my games in operation or as favors to friends and collectors.
Whenever possible it usually preferable to use factory original or approved and licensed reproductions for game repairs. Unfortunately that isn’t always possible or feasible in service of some older games with dwindling official or aftermarket parts availability. Photos where you see multiple copies of a part are an indication of material experimentation, test prints, trial & error; should not serve as evidence of mass production for retail sale.
Simple models might come together within an hour where complex parts might have over a week of on-and-off tweaking and refinement. Each print can take anywhere from an hour to as many as 2 days in some cases. Given the time commitment I don’t have any interest in commercial activities related to parts reproduction or creation at this time.
